It might be the middle of summer, a traditional dead-zone for football (soccer) the world over, but with the Premier League season just days away, the terrific Women's Euros reaching a crescendo and the World Cup knocking on the door, there's always reason to believe on a fresh cut grass pitch on any given Saturday at 3pm. These are the good lads of my regular weekend game, at the theater of dreams known as McKinley Stadium (well, Elementary School, if you want to get technical) in Santa Monica, California. Always a full-throated yet well-spirited game and I can't wait for the next as soon as I'm recovered from the last. Long live this Beautiful Game.
